How Much Does a DJ Cost in London in 2026?
There isn’t one standard London DJ rate. You’ll find DJs charging a few hundred pounds and others charging well over £1,000. The useful question isn’t really what DJs charge, but what you’re getting for the price.
For my own bookings: private events start from £595, weddings from £895, and Greek weddings from £1,100. Corporate bookings start from £795.
That’s the range. Where you land in it depends on the event itself.
What Changes the Number
Event type. A birthday party and a wedding aren’t the same job. Weddings need a first dance, a running order agreed in advance, and more coordination with a venue or planner before the day even starts.
Running time. Separate from event type, this is simply hours worked. A three-hour party and an eight-hour wedding aren’t priced the same.
Guest count and venue size. More people usually means more equipment, sometimes a bigger sound system, sometimes a longer setup.
Location. Central London is one thing. Outside London, or abroad, travel and accommodation get added on top.
Specialist knowledge. This is the one people don’t think about. A Greek wedding isn’t “a wedding plus some Greek songs.” It’s a different running order, a different set of expectations from three generations in the room, and a back catalogue most DJs don’t have. That’s why it’s priced separately.
