Made a Promo Video. Realised How Much I’ve Actually Done.
Lucky Evi, creating memorable soundtracks for weddings, private parties and events.
I started making a proper promo video for the website a few weeks back. Nothing complicated, just something people could watch instead of reading a bio.
To make it, I had to go back through years of old footage. Phones, hard drives, random folders named things like “wedding stuff 2019.” Hundreds of clips I’d forgotten I had.
Watching it back in one sitting hit different. Not the music, not the edits. Just the sheer range of it. Weddings. Corporate launches. Greek parties where three generations were on the floor at once. Random bar gigs I’d half forgotten.
Fifteen years sounds like a long time when you say it. It’s a different thing entirely when you’re scrubbing through a decade and a half of actual rooms, actual crowds, actual nights.
I don’t think I fully believed my own experience until I saw it laid out like that. Easy to undersell yourself when you’re just doing the job, gig to gig. Harder to undersell it with the receipts in front of you.
The video’s live now, on the homepage and on DJ Hire. A few seconds long. Took about fifteen years to make.
